Visit by Dr. Hassani-Nejad, Deputy Minister for Livestock Affairs at the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad, to the Kian Looka Makian industrial ostrich farm.

As part of efforts to assess the status of production facilities and monitor the protein product supply chain, Dr. Hassannejad, the Deputy Minister for Livestock Affairs at the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad, visited the "Kian Looka Makian" industrial ostrich farming complex in Bushehr Province on February 4, 2023. During this working visit, Dr. Nozar Monfared, Head of the Bushehr Province Agriculture Jihad Organization, accompanied by an official delegation and the Governor of Tangestan County, joined Dr. Hassannejad. Ministry officials toured various sections of the complex, gaining insight into production processes, sanitary standards, and the facility's physical infrastructure. While acknowledging the unit's production capabilities in the south of the country, the Deputy Minister for Livestock Affairs emphasized the importance of supporting industrial and semi-industrial facilities to achieve self-sufficiency in animal protein. Furthermore, the officials present examined existing production challenges and underscored the necessity of collaboration between the public and private sectors to foster the development of the livestock industry in Bushehr Province.
