Launch of the Ostrich Farming Expansion Project – Kian Looka Makian
The launch of the Kian Luca Makian ostrich farming expansion project was held in the presence of the provincial governor and other officials.
To strengthen the protein product supply chain and develop processing industries in Bushehr Province, the "Kian Looka Makian" ostrich farming expansion project was launched on August 22, 2022, in the presence of Mr. Mohammadizadeh, the Governor of Bushehr, along with various executive officials and relevant authorities.
The project was inaugurated with the aim of increasing the production of ostrich meat and eggs, while also leveraging the potential of the province's dry-farming lands and climate. During the ceremony, Mr. Mohammadizadeh welcomed investment in the agricultural and livestock sectors, emphasizing that developing projects like Kian Looka Makian would not only contribute to national food security but also play a vital role in creating jobs for Bushehr’s youth and reducing unemployment rates in rural areas.
Dr. Nozar Monfared, Head of the Agricultural Jihad Organization, stated that the project is set to become a major hub for ostrich production in southern Iran by utilizing modern technologies in livestock production and management. Upon completion, the project is expected to boost not only meat production but also the processing industries and the market for ostrich egg products within Bushehr Province.
